Who should participate in GOAT YOGA?

GOAT YOGA offers physical and mental benefits to people of all ages and physical abilities.

For children and adolescents EL PASO GOAT YOGA offers FAMILY YOGA, ANIMAL ENCOUNTERS, and an AGRICULTURE ACADEMY.

Unfortunately GOAT YOGA is not for everyone. Anyone who dislikes or is allergic to GOATS and animals, should not participate in our programs.

What should I wear to GOAT YOGA?

We suggest wearing something comfortable that you are able to move around in, remember you’ll have goats snuggling, jumping, and or climbing on you.

Do I need a mat?

Please bring your own mat.
We offer yoga blankets available for purchase.

How long is the session?

The actual GOAT YOGA session is 1 hour long, however, we do have time after the session for pictures, questions, and extra snuggles.
[on average the time spent with us is an hour and a half or more.]

Can I drop in to a session?

Unfortunately due to the limited space per session we DO NOT offer drop-ins at this time.

Am I allowed to take pictures?

YES PLEASE!! We love to see your photos and read all the comments, so please post and tag EL PASO GOAT YOGA on Facebook.

Do you force the GOATS to participate?

Our GOATS are NEVER forced to do tricks. Our GOATS are free to wander and snuggle up next to participants, leading to a very individualized and unfettered experience.

The GOATS are genuinely curious by nature and just prefer to be with people; all they really want is to be pet and receive affection.

What kind of GOATS are used in EL PASO GOAT YOGA events?

EL PASO GOAT YOGA is proud to provide the finest Nigerian Dwarf GOATS in the region for all of its events.

Are the animals for sale?

EL PASO GOAT YOGA always has Goats and other animals available for adoption for a modest adoption fee.

RANCHO LOS RIVAS llc manages a robust breeding program and offers available GOATS, micro mini pigs, horses, and mini cattle throughout the breeding seasons. Please visit our ADOPTIONS page for more details.

Can I feed the GOATS?

Outside food and drinks (with the exception of water) are NOT allowed in our sessions.
For their health and well being, Our GOATS are on strict diets.

There will be an opportunity at each session for the feeding of (provided) food to our GOATS by participants.

Are GOATS dangerous: do they bite or headbutt?

No, GOATS are extremely playful.
GOATS love to nibble and will often try to nibble on loose clothing, buttons, and zippers.
GOATS of all ages will headbutt as a form of play, this is not dangerous and is often experienced as a GOAT rubbing their head on your leg.
In any event, the EL PASO GOAT YOGA WRANGLERS are always present to address any questions or concerns.

What about the poo?

While a completely natural process, It is unlikely that a GOAT will actually pee or poo on you during a session.

There is, however, a decent likelihood that a GOAT may pee or poo on your mat.
Don't worry, it washes off really easily. PLUS our GOAT WRANGLERS are at the ready for any incidents with all natural cleaning spray.

Additionally, EL PASO GOAT YOGA offers mats available for use at each session if you feel squeamish about it.
